Swedish composer and multi instrumentalist Peter Sandberg comes to London’s St Matthias Church for an intimate headline show.
Although known for his work scoring commercials for the likes of Discovery, Netflix, and Tesla, Sandberg seeks inspiration for his personal projects from contemporary neo-classical artists including Hausckha, Johann Johannsson, Nils Frahm, Phillip Glass, and more. Operating from his studio in Uppsala, Sandberg’s work is essentially piano based, but casts together guitars, synthesisers and “all kinds of fretted instruments”. This marrying of the classical and the left-field electronica comes together to create magnificent pieces that flutter between the hushed and atmospheric to the dizzyingly vibrant and fast-paced, perfectly reflecting the constantly changing moods of modern life.
At St Matthias, Sandberg will take you on a sonic journey through breathtakingly complex compositions. This is not to be missed.
